    • Thursday, June 26, 1:00-2:00pm ET
    • In our continuing “What to do about deer” webinar series, part 2 will explore the differences between conflict and population management, including why traditional management often focuses on deer numbers and misses the bigger picture when it comes to addressing community conflicts with deer. We will highlight important elements that are often overlooked and should be considered before lethal actions are taken. In our work with communities and experts on this issue over the last three decades, we’ve learned that communities focus must be on reducing conflicts with deer, not reducing the number of deer. You’ll learn what holistic conflict management looks like, how communities and local organizations can build more effective plans, and what tools are available from Humane World for Animals to help local leaders be proactive.
    • This webinar will be recorded and available later to watch for free at humanepro.org/wildlifewebinars.

    Take-a-Break Tie-Dye Party
Because burnout is real — and so is the power of a little joy.

We know how this season feels and we see you.
The bottle babies keep coming. The large dog runs are full. Compassion fatigue is creeping in — and nobody has time to plan a break.

But here’s the truth: fun doesn’t happen unless someone makes space for it.
That’s why SCACCA is stepping in to help with a ready-made, no-fuss team morale booster.

    Introducing the Take-a-Break Tie-Dye Party
We’re sending out full kits to shelters, rescues, and ACO teams across South Carolina — everything you need to host a colorful, lighthearted break right where you are.

    What’s Included:

    • 32 bright dye colors
    • Bottles, gloves, rubber bands
    • Plastic tablecloths & cleanup supplies
    • Instructions that keep it simple
    • Enough for up to 80 items to be dyed
Bring your own shirts, scrubs, bandanas, or towels — and get messy in the best possible way.

FREE for the First 10 Agencies (SCACCA members only)
The first 10 to sign up will receive a kit absolutely free, thanks to SCACCA.
After that, kits are available for just $40 — less than 50 cents per person for a full-staff reset.

    Who Should Sign Up?
Anyone at your agency who wants to help boost morale, break up the routine, and spark some joy.
Whether you’re a manager, vet tech, volunteer coordinator, or ACO — if you can gather a few folks, you can make this happen.

    How It Works:

    1. Sign up using the link below
    2. We ship your kit directly
    3. You choose your break day
    4. Tie-dye and snap a photo of your team in action
    5. Share it with #SCACCATieDyeBreak so we can feature your crew!

    Why This Matters:
A little joy goes a long way. These moments help restore connection, lighten the emotional load, and remind us that we’re all in this together.

    RESERVE YOURS NOW

Let’s turn a tough season into something brighter — one shirt at a time.
