The South Carolina Animal Care & Control Association will be hosting a 4-hour workshop animal cruelty workshop. This workshop is open to law enforcement, crime scene investigators, animal control officers, veterinarians, and prosecutors interested in advancing their knowledge of identifying and documenting cases of animal cruelty. Three hours of this course will be lecture format and one hour will be hands-on. Topics will include an overview of veterinary forensics, review of forensic examinations of animals, injury documentation, and evidence collection. This conference has been approved for Continuing Educational Units by the National Animal Care & Control Association. This program has been RACE approved for 4 hours of continuing education credit in jurisdictions that recognize RACE approval.
